The entire office undertake professional on-going training through Kaplan and the MFAA.

Andrew Aitken
Chairman
Prior to arriving in Australia Andrew was CEO of several Private Banking, Mutual Fund and Asset Management businesses.
He immigrated to Australia in 2003 and commenced employment with Australian Capital Equity (ACE). His initial focus was evaluating M&A related opportunities including the acquisition of a number of Equipment Rental Businesses culminating in the eventual part ownership of Coates Hire. In 2008, Andrew was appointed Managing Director of National Hire Group (NHR). National Hire was publicly listed on the ASX until Seven Group Holdings privatised the company in Jan 2012.
Andrew is now active in the M&A / Private Equity space having completed a number of successful acquisitions and sales of businesses.
Mark Dietrechsen
Chairman
Mark has 28 years of experience in the Banking and Finance industry spanning Business, Commercial, Institutional and Private Banking.
Since moving to Australia in 2001, Mark has held senior positions within Private Banking, including being responsible for ultra-high net worth families and individuals in NSW, which included 14 of the BRW top 100 list.
While at Westpac Mark was voted Australian Banker of the year in 2009 and was a finalist again in 2010.
David James
Director
David has extensive experience in the banking and finance industry.
With more than 21 years of experience with BankWest in Commercial finance Property fInance, Retail Banking and Credit.
He established Nexia Perth Finance in 2007 and was a Commonwealth Bank Diamond Broker in 2014 and a Westpac Top 10 Commercial Broker in 2012.
Danielle Elsum
Senior Finance Broker
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance.
Danielle is a fully accredited broker, working in our Cottesloe office since 2018. Proficient in both the residential and commercial lending sectors, she specialises in lending for self-employed individuals and health sector businesses.
Her experience prior to Excelsior includes 10 years in various business banking roles, including time as a Business Banking Manager with a dedicated customer portfolio; 5 years in the mining sector with an accounting and financial analysis focus; and several years in the financial planning arena with an emphasis on banking and loan structuring.
Penny Wilson
Senior Finance Consultant
Completed 24th October 2022 – FNS 50320 – Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management.
Penny has over twenty years of experience in customer service both face to face and phone based. She also has substantial experience in the Mortgage broking field due to previous work experience with Lenders, Mortgage Managers, and Mortgage & Finance Brokers.
Penny enjoys giving the customer a positive experience and enjoys making sure the customer has the best deal possible
Nick Roche
Mortgage Broker
Nick is a fully accredited residential mortgage broker based in Excelsior’s Sydney office.
Nick’s prior experience was in commercial property and private equity, with a focus on healthcare, mining services and operating real estate.
Nick holds a Masters, specialising in Finance and Accounting, from the University of Sydney.
